This is an introduction course to the general field of community services. The aim of this course is to provide training and skill development to allow access to a range of potential career paths within the Community Services Industry. This course can lead to further studies in the areas of child care, disability, aged care or youth work.
This qualification covers workers who use organisational policies, procedures and individual
children’s profiles to plan activities and provide care to children, facilitating their leisure and
play and enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes.
Workers at this level are required to have an understanding of Indigenous culture and history
and to work with local communities in the provision of services.
Certificate III in Community Services (Aged Care Work)- CHC30102
There were just over 200,000 people accessing disability support services in 2004-05.
"Over 40 per cent of service users reported intellectual disability as one
of their disability groups, 25 per cent reported a physical disability and
an additional 15 per cent reported a neurological disability.
